Relaxed photography, with plenty of direction when you need it.

I’m Anna Moody, a freelance photographer working across London, Kent and the South East. For over 12 years, I’ve been photographing people, interiors and places, with a relaxed approach and a real love of creating beautiful images that feel like you.

A big part of what I do is helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Most people I photograph tell me they don’t particularly enjoy having their photo taken or that they have no idea what to do once a camera is pointed at them. You really don’t need to.

I’ll guide you throughout the shoot, helping with posing, expression and movement, as well as all those little details you shouldn’t have to think about. There’s plenty of direction, but never so much that the photographs start to feel staged or unlike you.

My aim is to get you to the point where you forget about the camera a little. That’s usually when we get the photographs you weren’t expecting, the ones where you look confident and relaxed, but most importantly, like yourself.

This is especially important in my personal brand and portrait work. Your photographs need to do more than simply look good. They need to represent you and your business as it is now and give you a bank of images you’re genuinely excited to use across your website, social media, PR, press, speaking engagements and beyond.

I also believe a good shoot starts well before the day itself. Thinking about what you want your photographs to say, where you’ll use them and what you’re going to wear means that when we actually start shooting, you can relax and enjoy it. My Founder Edit sessions take this a step further, combining photography with personal styling advice before the shoot and styling support on the day.

A little about me

My journey into freelance photography began after the birth of my daughter, at a time when I was looking for a new creative direction and a way of working that fitted differently around family life.

More than 12 years later, I still love the variety of what I do. One day I might be photographing a founder for their business, another, a beautiful interior or an editorial story. What ties it all together for me is finding the character in what I’m photographing and creating images that tell the story without feeling forced.

My work has been featured in publications including The Sunday Times, The Times, Metro, Country & Town House, The Rutland Magazine, Interior Design Yearbook and the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review.

I’m based in Locksbottom, Kent, and work throughout London and the South East. When I’m not working, family life keeps me pretty busy and whenever we get the chance, we escape to Ibiza, our happy place.
